Dr. Jose Martinez, PT, DPT, CSCS

Director Of Operations

Jose graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from FIU in July 2018. Being a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, he is extremely passionate about bridging the gap between rehab and return to sport for adolescent athletes. Jose enjoys working with all populations at Propel and impacting and developing relationships with his patients.


Since opening Propel Physical Therapy in 2020, he has greatly appreciated both continuing to treat patients and building a business model that prioritizes patient care. He hopes to continue to reach more individuals in the South Florida community at Propel and educate the general population on how physical therapy can improve their quality of life and help them return to doing what they love most, pain-free.

Dr. Angel Ortiz, PT, DPT, CMPT

Dr. Angel Ortiz graduated from Florida International University's DPT Program in 2020. After finishing his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree, Dr. Ortiz completed his Manual Physical Therapy Specialization. Prior to working as a physical therapist, Dr. Ortiz served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Doral Academy for 3 years in which he coached all sports and helped several student athletes receive collegiate scholarships. Currently, he is working to put that same drive into our patients looking to improve their quality of life. In his spare time, you can find Dr. Ortiz at the golf course enjoying the great outdoors.

Andrea Garner is currently serving as our front office administrator at MPT! She graduated from Florida International University with a Sports & Fitness degree in 2016. Andrea genuinely enjoys helping others and serves consistently at her church. She is an avid Liverpool fan and is always up to date with the latest news in the soccer world! If you ever have a question about insurance, scheduling, or availability, she is your go-to at Propel!

Dr. Mario Lubian graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Florida International University in 2023. His passion lies in the fields of orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, where he seeks to blend evidence-based practices with personalized plans to guide athletes and individuals of all ages back to pain-free living and peak performance.


Dr. Lubian firmly believes in building strong relationships with his patients, understanding their unique needs and goals, and celebrating their victories, big and small. Beyond the clinic, Dr. Lubian is an avid soccer fan, and enjoys traveling to new destinations.

Dr. Adam Ruiz, PT, DPT

Dr. Adam Ruiz holds a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine and has been practicing since 2022. He earned two bachelor's degrees in both Recreation and Sport Management and Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida International University. He enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, reading, and running. He has completed multiple half marathons and other racing events, with aspirations to complete all 6 World Marathon Majors.


His treatment philosophy incorporates a creative and comprehensive approach specifically designed for each patient to challenge and motivate them to return to their desired level of activity or sport.

Propel Physical Therapy is the best PT offices I've come across in Miami. I've visited many PT's, from private locations to those working with sports teams, but none were as effective as Propel.


When I first arrived at his office, i walked in in tears. I could not walk without assistance and was constantly in 10 level pain. Wow! Talk about an amazing place and staff. You are welcomed, on the phone or in person, by Andrea who is wonderful at her job and friendly to all. My initial evaluation was done by Dr. Angel Ortiz, who is very knowledgeable and explains everything (I had a lot of questions).


They have focused each session on treating the muscles affected and teaching me different exercises that could help me walk again. Carrying on the exercises at home was encouraged and simple. I came in with a walker and boot and in 3 weeks I am walking unassisted and with almost no limp from my broken foot.
